If you are not a teacher, you will not know what I am talking about.  Only a teacher will understand how it feels being given a relief class to enter because one of the teachers have either gone on maternity leave or gone for a course or taken annual leave or what have you.  Only a teacher can feel the pain!

First and foremost, I would like to make it very clear that I am not writing because my opinions are inclined or similar to anyone you or I may know, because of late, the word 'multiracial' has become a buzz word of sorts and you really cannot go by a single day without seeing, listening or thinking about this word.  But, I digress!

The day is finally here for everyone, including me, to cast our votes and determine who will govern the country for the next five years.  This day comes after fifteen days of much anticipation amidst all the campaigning (if you call them that) and at 11.59 p.m., 4th May 2013, I breathed a sigh of relief.  Hopefully all the 'media cannibalism' which I have been an unwilling witness to will finally be put to rest (at least until the next GE!)

For most of us, having a public holiday right smack in the middle of a working week may come as a welcome retreat from all the work piling up at the office.  But for this one particular laborer's work never seem to cease, whether it is at the work place or at home!

I am merely writing this article based on my own perspective.  For me, 1st of May doesn't really offer any kind of escape from work.  I suppose I am one of those people who continue to work even when we are at home.
